INCT Football's 6th International Colloquium

The 6th International Colloquium of INCT Football is coming up, with the theme “Soccer, Globalization, Mobility, and Migration.”

The colloquium will be held in Recife, Brazil at the Federal University of Pernambuco on October 29 and 30, 2026.

Submissions of academic papers for the event are now open. Papers must have some relation to the colloquium’s theme. The format is an extended abstract. The deadline for submissions is September 1.

There are five thematic areas to choose from at the time of submission:

1. Football and Social Markers of Difference

2. Education and Careers in Soccer

3. Fan Bases, Clubs, and Sociabilities

4. Soccer, Media, and Narratives

5. Memory, History, and Football Heritage
