How do you stop yourself from endlessly scrolling social media while working?

Does anyone have a trick that actually works for breaking the habit of opening social media every few minutes while you're supposed to be working? I keep telling myself I'll just check one notification, and somehow ten or fifteen minutes disappear before I even notice. Last week I was trying to finish a report, but I kept bouncing between my work and my phone. By the end of the day I was stressed because I had spent hours "being busy" without getting much done. I'd love to hear what has genuinely helped other people.

I used to have almost the same problem. What helped wasn't relying on willpower but making it slightly harder to get distracted. I started using app blockers during my work sessions, leaving my phone in another room, and working in 30-40 minute chunks before taking a short break. I also found a few different

and tested them until I found one that matched the way I work. The biggest difference came from seeing how much time I was actually wasting, because the tracking feature made it impossible to ignore. It wasn't an overnight change, but after a couple of weeks I noticed I was finishing tasks earlier and feeling less mentally drained.
