Which anti-procrastination apps actually help you stay focused?
I’ve been noticing lately that I waste a lot of time switching between tasks, especially when working from home. I’ll sit down to do something important, and somehow I end up scrolling or checking random stuff without even realizing it. A few weeks ago I tried using a simple timer method, but I couldn’t stay consistent with it. Now I’m thinking maybe I need an app that actually keeps me focused or blocks distractions. The problem is there are so many options that it’s hard to know what actually works. Has anyone here tried something that genuinely helped them stay on track for more than just a few days?

I ran into the exact same problem not long ago. What helped me was trying a few tools instead of sticking to one right away. I found a list of best anti-procrastination apps and it gave me a better idea of what features to look for. Personally, apps that combine timers with site blocking worked best for me, because they remove temptation instead of relying on willpower. I also realized it’s important not to overload yourself with too many features — simple setups are easier to stick with. After about a week of using one consistently, I started noticing I was finishing tasks faster and with fewer breaks.
